I have written extensively about these modes in the Articles. In them I explore these ideas in depth and provide valuable practices for gaining energetic mastery of your life. You might also find the following tools useful:
Victim Mode is like being stranded down in a dark pit with no way out. A situation looks impossible, you feel unable to improve something and it look as if you have little or no choice in the matter. This is where you are if you feel lost, trapped or immobilized in any way. A hallmark of this mode is often despair.
Interpreter Mode is like swimming in quicksand. You struggle, you work hard, you refuse to give up, and you just can't seem to make much progress. In fact, sometimes it seems the harder you try the less progress you make. The hallmark of this mode is judgment.
Observer Mode is like standing on solid ground. You are out in the open and you can look around and see that you can go in any direction you choose. This is where options become apparent. The hallmark of this mode is neutrality.
Partner Mode is like standing on a mountain top where it seems you can see forever in every direction. Your travels are easy. Helpers, partners and mentors come along when you need them. You trust others and have confidence in yourself. The hallmark of this mode is cooperation.
Creator Mode is like soaring into the air. No longer tied to the ground, you can ascend as high as choose. What you want becomes inevitable. You choose and you get. The hallmark of this mode is surety.
During my studies of personal energy, I realized emotions can be divided into the five groups illustrated in the diagram.
The diamond shape represents choice.
The diamond itself shows the five modes.

The lists on the left represent the energies of that mode. (For a more extensive list, click here and here.)
The words down the center of the diamond describe the outlook you are likely to have when operating in that mode.
Starting from the bottom and working up, here are some of the characteristics of each mode:
